When I started Deleting the Adjectives, I wasn’t sure what it would be. I had been blogging for a long time, like I had a Livejournal when you had to have an invite code, long time but I felt like I had outgrown the blog I had kept through most of college but I was newly graduated and newly married and I felt like I might be on my way to being an adult. I was wrong. I still suck at being a grown up but I didn’t know that at the time.
Not soon after I finished college and became a Mrs. , I found out I was pregnant and the impending baby forced me to grow some mom goggles. Since then, most of the content, at least the good stuff has been somehow related to creating an honest narrative about parenting and all the things that can make the world a better, more accepting and open one for my kid, your kid, and the rest of us to live in.
From here on out about 90% of the content here is going to be related to being a progressive person and mom. Expect a continued no bull look at parenting and personhood from inside the trenches. There will be photography lessons and recipes and more kid’s movies that don’t suck too.
